GRP composites - pipes
A pipe is a tubular section or hollow cylinder, usually but not necessarily of circular cross-section, used mainly to convey substances which can flow — liquids and gases (fluids), slurries, powders, masses of small solids. It can also be used for structural applications.
In the early days pipes were made from wood and later from steel and concrete. The biggest problem is that those pipes are rapidly corroded or deteriorates rapidly in sewage due to hydrogen sulphide attack.
Since steel and concrete pipelines need to be replaced, the ideal solution is changing them with pipes made with glass reinforced composite material.
The excellent corrosion resistance, smoothness of the internal wall, long life and high mechanical resistance makes glass reinforced pipes the excellent product for fighting against all chemical processes.
